Users work in corporation use email daily and they would
prefer to receive fax message in same email interface to achieve
unified messaging. Advantages are:

All hardware, software, single or multiple fax lines are
installed in Microsoft Fax Server computer to serve all email
users and no need to install separate modem, fax line in user
workstations. For larger implementation, multiple
Microsoft Fax Servers can share same user database so that user
management is performed in single point and real-time online
reflect to all participated Microsoft Fax servers.
Same fax can be received by multiple email users define-able
as To cc bcc in each user properties. Fax received by Microsoft fax
server are routed to user email address accord to user DID fax
number.
Receive faxes in your email client – embedded in email
and/or as email attachment
Delivers faxes to email user’s inbox directly embedded into
email body and also in most abundant available format of TIF,
PDF, PNG, GIF, JPG, BMP. This enables users to check faxes from
anywhere in the world, using either a normal desktop email
client (for example, Outlook) or a web-based email client (for
example, Outlook Web Access, Google, Yahoo!). Received faxes can be forwarded to anybody
just like email.
Allows you to receive faxes via your handheld or mobile
Email clients of handhelds like the Blackberry and Pocket PC
(2003 upwards) can receive faxes as emails. The Blackberry
devices have built-in PDF viewer that seamlessly integrate with
fax; most Pocket PC 2003 also ship with built-in PDF viewers. As
long as they have image-viewing capabilities to view received
faxes, GPRS mobile (cell) phones that are email-compliant can
use in the same way as handhelds.
